I am the youngest in my family of 4 and my sister recently moved out of the house. My mother has BPD and when she “breaks down” i am usely targeted and so my dad is going to divorce her. And I cant blame him for doing it but my mother was starting to hide her illness and not take her pills so I guess it was getting dangerous. So I hope that my father and I can live without her and I hope that she will be able to.

As a parent, the most important qualities are honesty, accountability and forgiveness. I started telling my oldest that when I was getting dressed, it felt like a tiger was chasing me on the inside. She was a preschooler and now still remembers how it was a clever way to explain it to a little one. My son asks, did you take you pills, and if I have and am still cranky, he will say they will start working soon. I feel my bipolar made me a better parent! I’m a full time single parent alone.

i’ve been with my girlfriend for the past 8 years but i have to admit it got a bit harder this past year due to my official diagnosis of BPD but i guess the only way to survive relationship is to have a suportive loved one that somehow accept your sickness or at least that can try to cope with it daily. Thanks for the great video dude!
